Bargello is a type of needlepoint embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid in a mathematical pattern to create motifs. The name originates from a series of chairs found in the Bargello palace in Florence, which have a “flame stitch” pattern.
This necklace recreates the bargello look in a 2-drop peyote necklace. Seed beads, delicas and diamond shaped glass beads combine to create this beautiful cobalt, lavender and violet necklace.
This pattern was designed by Rebecca Peaples and is from Kalmbach Books “Stitch Workshop Peyote Stitch”. I have Rebecca’s permission to use her pattern.
The necklace is adjustable from 18 to 20 inches and has silver-plated findings.
